Emmett Hutchins passed away peacefully on 6/27/16  at 2:25 pm in his own bed at his home in Kauai.

Dr. Rolf  appointed Emmett and Peter Melchior as the first teachers of her work. As Dr. Rolf requested, in the 1970s Emmett and Peter moved from California to Boulder to focus on the work that would eventually bring into being the Rolf Institute of Structural Integration.

After teaching in Boulder for years, in the early 1990s Emmett and his partner Richard Stenstadvold, former Executive Director of the Institute, left the Rolf Institute and re-established the Guild for Structural Integration  (Dr. Rolf’s original name for teaching her work). Emmett was quite devoted to Dr. Rolf and her work, and he did his best to carry on what he believed to be the highest principles she had taught him. 

I met Emmett in 2007 when I began my journey to becoming a Rolf Method of Structural Integration practitioner and was immediately taken with his ability to be a clear light transmitter of The Truth ~ delivered with love, empathy and generosity.  I now know that Emmett had influenced my life long before that in-person meeting in 2007.  I believe he is the reason when I was 5 years old I started having dreams of Kauai, and eventually realized that dream with the simultaneous meeting of Emmett.  I feel…I know… that he lives on –  infinitely as a soul-family member and the transmission he shared with me will be passed on to each willing client who receives from me.   I am soul-ly and whole-heartily dedicated to perpetuating the traditional teachings of Dr. Ida P.Rolf, like my teacher before me.  Thank you Emmett, Thank you, thank you thank you!
